Ira Daniels has worked at The Florida State Hospital for 40 plus years. Starting off as a care giver, moving up to board supervisor, and finally physical therapist. Mr. Daniels received his Physical therapy certification at the hospital back when there was a campus on site. Mr. Daniels enjoys seeing his patients grow and learn from treatment.

Question 1: What problem is the career you are pursuing solving for people and how do you do it differently?

  • Problems solved are on the physical and mental level. Physical ailments solved is rehabilitating the patient from stokes to amputations back to regular function. This a mental health hospital so there are qualified psychologist here but, on most occasions patients build a close friendship with me and discuss the problems they don’t feel comfortable discussing with the psychologist. One thing differently we provide is supervised transportation to all patients in the wards to and from treatment areas

Premise 2: The Facebook page for your facility has little to no activity with patient feedback.

Question 2: Who are your most important patients and how would you increase patient feedback?

  • All patients are treated equally here. We treat all patients who need rehabilitative services. Most of our patients are here for services from the prison so there is no sure way to increase patient feedback but the verbal compliments make my day every time.

 

Premise1:  Most of you patients are excited to come to physical therapy

Premies2:  According to a review on Caring.com the patients says they are treated as if they are at home.

Question 3: What revenue value is your customer paying for?

  • Equipment is provided by the state with grants most the patient is paying for is equipment usage and treatment.

 

Premise1:  Improving product or service performance has traditionally been a common way to create value.  

Premise2: Healthgroove.com shows that for a private room it is 185$ for a semi private room it is 175$. Is there any extra care provides to private room patients?

Question 4: In what ways do you create demand for your product, keep customers Satisfied and attract customers to work with you.

  •  It’s simple really fun friendly service. From time to time I keep the rehabilitation fun with games.

Question 5: Which groups of people and or organizations do you serve?

  • Not only do we serve mentally ill patients from the surrounding area we also serve prisoners who have pleaded insane. Some prisoners do also work on the landscape of the hospital.
