Blue Ocean Strategy

Starting my Blue Ocean Strategy, I had to figure out which sectors of market research I could put on my document to successfully cater to my customer profile. I started with my red ocean strategy; first I listed companies from my intentions paper. The companies are Miracle Hill Nursing Home, Tallahassee, Memorial Hospital, Tallahassee orthopedic and sports physical therapy, Brinton woods, and Kindred Healthcare Inc.  The categories I chose to compare for my customer are Quality of care services, Company reputation, Location, Insurance, Wait time, and Accessibility. When choosing Quality of care services, I had to think about my customer profile. My customer is an extremely helpful person I expect the rehab facility he chooses to reflect his helpful heart. Next was “Company Reputation”, how well know is the company and what is it known for. I choose this because my customer is going thru an extreme lifestyle change. They need the security of the company’s reputation during this time. I chose “location” because location is everything. My customer would benefit more if the location was close to home for convenience. “Insurance” was chosen to show which companies accept most insurances. Wait Time is beneficial to the customer because the faster the rehabilitation the faster he can adjust to the life change. Lastly accessibility was chose to see which company is most accessible to the consumer.

                Overall, Miracle Hill beat out all competitors with ratings in the Blue Ocean Strategy as seen in the chart. Miracle Hill’s Quality of care services and reputation is very strong based off statistics and word of mouth, As well as location and transportation services. When doing my Blue Ocean Strategy I chose Miracle Hill because I felt like they were the best fit. The three categories for my Blue Ocean strategy are Photo time lapse, Rehab on the green, open mic talent show. For starters I chose “Photo Time lapse” because my customer loves photography it would be a souvenir for after his rehabilitation. After each session we will take a photo. When the customer is fully recovered, all the photos will be placed in to a slide depicting their growth from start to finish. Secondly I chose rehab on the green because my customer enjoys the outdoors and hiking. Every fifth session the physical therapist will practice outside in the hospital garden, to change the setting once in a while. Lastly, my customer plays in a band. At the end of the month the hospital will hold an open mic night for all guest and residence to show off their various talents.

                In conclusion, I feel that Miracle Hill has what my customer needs and will accommodate them the best way possible. From extensive research I realized what my customer created needed. With innovative factors I found the best fit for them. All factors were rated based off my research.
